WordPress.com to .org

  So if I start out with wordpress.com and want to switch to using my own provider and going to wordpress.org – will all of my info transfer if I have set up a .com blog?

  you can transfer your posts, comments, and categories once wordpress 2.1 comes out (relatively soon)

  you can transfer your links, via opml.

  everything else, though, you’ll have to set up all over again. (widget layout, theme choice, etc.)
