  Hello, last year I moved from wordpress.com to wordpress.org and had my site hosted. My domain is leahmariev.com. Those who were hosting my site gave their business to someone else who is now hosting my site – we are trying to get it changed over and are unable to change the DNS to point to the correct place. Does this need done in the wordpress.com account? And if so, how do we do it? Why are we updating the DNS in the wordpress.com when it is now a wordpress.org site? Thank you!

  Hi Leah – You updated your domain’s name servers to point it to your new site, but you left the domain itself registered here with us. You can either update the name servers again to point it to the new host by following these directions:
  Change name servers

  Or if you like, you can transfer it out to another registrar altogether in which case you won’t have to manage it through your WordPress.com Dashboard anymore:
