WordPress.com to WordPress.org self-hosted

  I am trying to move my blog from WordPress.com to WordPress.org on a self-hosted site. This is what is being asked of me:

  “Howdy! This importer allows you to connect to WordPress.com sites and import content

  First you must create a new application in WordPress.com

  Enter the Redirect URI as follows

  http://www.thisblksistaspage.com/wp-admin/admin.php?import=wordpressdotcom
  Enter your client id
  Enter your client secret

  You need to authorize this application in WordPress.com. You will be sent back here after providing authorization.”

  Okay, first, I cannot see why I need to include another application. But I need the client ID and the client secret for thisblksistaspage.wordpress.com. Please. Thanks.

  Hi there, which application you are using? It looks a bit suspicious, unfortunately. On WordPress.com, we don’t make use of terms “client id” and “client secret”.
