WordPress.com vs .org

  Last night, I attempted to switch my blog from wordpress.com to wordpress.org. I was having some trouble and decided to just keep it as my wordpress.com for now. However, I think I’ve messed it up because the url is no longer working. Can you please help me?

  Hi Lindsey!

  Did you potentially change the name servers on your domain, fabulouslyfrantic.com, to point to a self-hosted server? If so, it’s possible that your browser has “cached” a bad version of your site. The domain fabulouslyfrantic.com is loading on my side correctly. Can you try clearing your browser’s cache? Instructions can be found here:

  Thank you – I did clear my cache and it’s still not working… Here’s what I did: Last night, I was going to migrate from wordpress.com to .org. I had signed up for Bluehost, but had second thoughts today.

  So, I cancelled my Bluehost and pointed the domain servers in WordPress back to the WordPress servers, not Bluehost. And now I can log into my WordPress account and see all my blog info, but even after I cleared my cache my domain site shows a Bluehost.com error page stating there is no website configured at that address.

  Is there a step I’m missing to have WordPress host my site again?

  Hi Lindsey,

  Here’s what I see when I load your domain:

  

  That’s the correct page I believe.

  Can you try a different browser and see if it renders a different page? From the steps you mention, it sounds like you did everything right!
