  I have three websites, all of which end with .co.uk. I created the websites using wordpress.com dashboard, with themes from Woothemes. All three are hosted by 1&1 and I think the content is kept there too? I am looking to host these websites elsewhere because 1&1 have just doubled the cost of hosting due to an additional Extended PHP support cost. Where do I start?

  Hi there,

  I created the websites using wordpress.com dashboard, with themes from Woothemes. All three are hosted by 1&1 and I think the content is kept there too?

  If the websites are hosted with 1&1 you did not create them on WordPress.com. You created them by installing the WordPress.org software at 1&1. You have the Jetpack plugin installed which connects those sites to WordPress.com, so you can manage the content from here, but we have no other access or connection to those sites.

  But apart from that, this is a question better asked in the self-hosted forums, as the users there will have more experience with different hosts. WordPress.com sites are hosted on WordPress.com exclusively, so you won’t find many people here with knowledge about different hosting providers.
