wordpress.org and wordpress.com

    I connected the .org to the .com, i’m currently on wordpress.com and tried to activate a new theme which was free to install. But it said that it failed, I tried different free themes to see if it was just that one theme that was failing. But no, it won’t let me download any themes. Please help!

    We do not provide support for WordPress.ORG software installs and you are posting to the wrong support forum.

    We provide support here only for WordPress.COM hosted blogs. Your site is not hosted by wordpress.COM and you are posting to the wrong support forum.

    WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.     If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.
