wordpress.org import: some media urls still pointing to old domain
-
hello,
i did an xml import of a self-hosted wordpress over at http://mattiesworld.gotdns.org/weblog . Most of the posts seems fine but some are missing thumbnails. I renamed the weblog dir on my server and cleared my cache to be sure that the image is not fetched from the old server. The import finished 5th August so it should have had plenty of time to transfer the media library. I put it back now so you can verify the old site was working properly.
example of a problematic post with 2 missing images:

Funny thing is when you click on the broken link img, the full size version does show properly!am i doing something wrong? If I export the wordpress.com site, it does indeed show img urls pointing to the old domain. Is it a bug? what to do?

I checked the post you mentioned at https://mattiesworld.wordpress.com/2010/07/11/the-cake-is-a-lie-or-not/ and I see that there are two image thumbnails on that post and both are working normally at the moment. However, the image reference for the first one is https://i2.wp.com/mattiesworld.gotdns.org/weblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/recipe.thumbnail.jpg?zoom=2 which points to your old blog location which still appears to be available online. Did you leave the old blog in tact so that the images on mattiesworld.wordpress.com would continue to work?

Hi @matthiassweertvaegher. Just following up to note that I checked in on this with our developers and we found that 31 posts still contained old image references and we were able to get them fixed for you. Please let me know if you find any other oddities like that!
