WordPress.org: Jetpack – Sharing

With the sharing option in Jetpack you can use every platform you’d like in a small square (icon only), except for Google. In the live preview you get to see a small square in the same size as the others, but on your webpage you see a larger icon and it is not a square.

Off course this isn’t a real problem, but it is very ugly. If you want the look of your site to be at least a little bit professional.

Q: Why isn’t Google button not available as a small square (like the others)?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • We don’t yet have a way to provide a direct sharing link without using their javascript, and therefore their button.

It shouldn’t be too much larger than the others though. Would you mind adding it back so I can see if there’s any problem with that?

I have added the button again, see for your self, but I don’t like it very much!;)

  • Yes, unfortunately that is normal. Once Google provides a standard link format for this, we can turn the Google+ button into one of the standard small buttons too.
