Hi. I am a little confused. The dashboard on my current blogs do not have the plugins at all. So I started new blog on wordpress.org, thinking this was the problem but when I sign in to the new blog, I am redirected to .com (self hosting?) and have no plugin options in the dashboard…..
Any idea on how I can fix this? Thanks

There is an empty free hosted WordPress.com blog http://toohired.wordpress.com/ linked to your username. If you want help with that blog then this is the correct support forum.

There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install plugins, upload third-party themes or edit templates or themes. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/There is no upgrade that you can purchase form WordPress.com that provides FTP access, and the ability to install plugins. To use plugins you will have to hire a web host and set up a self hosted WordPress.org install.

I also have 2behired.wordpres.com
Wordpress.org offers a plugin that allows for front end editing of posts. Since I am not able to install plugins, would you know of a way to do this with the blogs that I currently have?
Thanks! -
Please read the links timethief provided. Especially this one:

wp.COM is free hosting
wp.ORG is hosting you pay someone to do.in both cases, the software is free, but on .COM there are a number of restrictions about what you can do.

I will admit that I don’t understand this:
a plugin that allows for front end editing of posts
What are you trying to accomplish with that plugin?
