  Is it possible to upload a wordpress.org theme here? Specific theme is: Beetle

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  The URL post above is http://www.prizemachines.net/ so exactly what you mean by “here” comes into play.

  This is wordpress.COM and that site is not on our servers. Our support docs do not apply to it.

  prizemachines.net is a wordpress.ORG software install on paid hosting, hosted by iPage, not by wordpress.COM

  Be aware that you cannot transfer any theme from a WordPress.ORG site to a WordPress.COM site, and visa versa. The two run on different software and have different versions of themes with the same names. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I understand what you explained and I did sign up for WordPress through ipage. However, when I am on my page that I wish to edit in some way (in this case, change themes), the address bar shows this:

  https://wordpress.com/themes/www.prizemachines.net

  That is the confusing part to me because it looks like I am on wordpress.com and there is no association with ipage hosting showing up there. Is that just the way it appears and I shouldn’t worry about it?

  Sorry to be so completely ill-informed. This is my first experience with anything like this. Thank you so much for your help.

  It’s ok, when i started out i was confused by who is who and what is where too! It is easy to be confused by this. The WordPress software is written and maintained by the WordPress.org community, and is the blogging software that is used by over 25% of the web! Because of their commitment to Open Source code, ease of use, and popularity, WordPress software is installed by many hosting providers like iPage for use by their subscribers.
  Automattic owns the hosting service known to us as WordPress.com.
  BUT the software that you are using on your self hosted blog has no real connection with WordPress.com, beyond the name. They don’t talk to each other (even though they are on good terms).

  The great link from @timethief talks about the differences between the two types of WordPress. I found a who is who reference at:

  which might help clear some of the confusion.

  You ARE on WordPress.Com! And no, there is no link to iPage – you are correct. You might want to log out of WordPress.Com.

  For help with your WordPress powered page at iPage, you should ask at:
  https://wordpress.org/support/
  They are experienced with the type of WordPrres installation you are using at iPage
