Words Jumbled in the new DePo Masthead Theme

  @thesacredpath,
  Regarding the more tag. It should be respecting this. It will change the wording in the red link box depending on if there is more, and comments are open, etc.

  thesacredpath was right! Nice catch. The static page option was empty, which was causing the problem. I changed it back to the default and the posts are working.

  Thanks. I do now see that the text changes when you use the more tag. It’s so different from normal theme behavior, that it may take a while to get used to it.

  Yesterday a theme option was added so that you can change the text used at the very top. Go to Themes-> DePo Options to see the setting.

  As mtdewvirus said, there was an issue with a setting for a static page in your dashboard. He set things back to the default settings and that is what fixed it.

  Is there any chance to get this Depo Masthead Theme on my WordPress 2.6 blog? It’s not hosted at WordPress.com, but on my own server.

  I’d really like to port this over to one of my new hosted WordPress blogs.

  I don’t think it is available yet. As I understand it it is available via the wordpress dev SVN, but I would wait till it appears on the theme site at .ORG. http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/

  There is another problem with this theme. If you select a category, you expect to see all of the posts filed under that category, and if not all on the same page, there will be a “previous” or “next” button to press to alert the reader that there are more posts filed under said category. In this theme, it only shows the last 10-20 posts and then there is a dead end.

  Or am I doing something wrong?

  Is the author issue resolved somehow for multiple users? It is quite important. After all, this design is so cool because it resembles a newspaper. Newspapers have editors, contributors and so on. Please help my team be happy to see their names. Cheers. Oh, and don’t change the big big title! that’s cohones man. all the other templates are so boring.
