Words without capital in categories
-
In my list of categories I have some words without a capital. I wanted to change that so I deleted a category and added it again, this time with a capital. But that did not work. Is there another possibility maybe.

Just to clarify the issue: Are you saying that the category within your category list will not update or that the categories from previous posts will update to reflect the changes?

No, it is just that I have a list of categories and some of them I gave capitals (is that how you say it when the first letters is a capital and the rest ordinary letters) and some I did not.
So as an example I have ‘Lanthanides’ and I have ‘elements’. Now if I want to use ‘elements’ it does not come with a capital, not even when I delete the category ‘elements’ and replace it with ‘Elements’. -
I’ve had the same issue. I’m sort of anal about things, I admit–I’d like all of my categories to start with capital letters, but even though I always type them that way, sometimes they appear in lowercase. For example, I’ll have “Decorating Ideas” and “Old Houses” followed, inexplicably, by “retro rooms,” even though I typed “Retro Rooms.” Very annoying. If anyone has a fix for this, I ‘d love to hear it, especially since it doesn’t seem possible to remove/delete a category once you’ve typed it in (is it? It seems to just revert to what you typed before, i.e. “retro rooms”). I’m sort of a newbie, so I may be missing something here.

Just found out what was going on. Some categories I use, like in my case ‘elements’, were also stored as tags. So I deleted them in categories as well as in tags and then I added them again in categories only. And that did work.
