Work Area for Posts and Pages has Been Shrunk and Needs Widened – as it was
-
As of last Friday, the 13th–maybe that is why this happened?–the posting area of the page and post working area are not as wide. I used to see what I would see on the front, or on the blog. Now the area is much smaller and what I see in the back as I work is not what I see up front.
I could post a picture that fit the width of my blog online and see that same image in in the working area in back as the width of my posting area. Now, the same image bleeds over to the right and I must use the scroll horizontal tool to find the rest of it.
I also noticed that the areas to the right of the working area; the catalogs, tags, and the top area where I choose the date to post are wider than before, obviously getting the width the posting area lost.
Why? The stuff to the right can be smaller and be effective – as it was. There is no reason to widen that area and all sorts of reasons to keep the work area the width it was.
With all due respect, reverse whatever happened to screw up the wordpress posting are. It is ridiculous. I am working partially blind and cannot do this.
Thanks

Hi,
I’ll check into this as I’m not aware of a change. The sidebar (where tags, etc are located) is a static width, so if you’re viewing your post/page editor on a smaller-width browser/screen, the editor is reduced while the sidebar remains the same.
Another option to maximize the editor size is to change to the 1-column format. While on the post editing screen, click on Screen Options near the top-right of the page and choose the one column option.
Thanks for using WordPress.com and please let us know if you have any questions or need anything else.
Cheers!
