Work lost in weird limbo between two different types of WordPress

I don’t really know how to explain this properly. I just re-registered my domain name through Bluehost after it was roaming free for a month or so. I wrote all of my posts within the Bluehost/Wordpress portal with the dark grey borders. Now, when I login there, everything is gone. When I login to WordPress alone with the blue header on top, it shows the titles of my blog posts, but when I click into them it redirects me to click on an old WordPress blog I have-not used for years and has me start writing a new post. All of my design elements are gone, the site I created does not exist anywhere that I can find. I’m extremely confused. I can’t find my blog posts anywhere, I don’t understand at all. Please help!

Update: I’m thinking it may have something to do with Jetpack? I got an email at the beginning of April saying my subscription had been cancelled (because the credit card expired, maybe?), but didn’t pay attention to it. Could this be the reason my post titles remain, but are not attached to a site so when I click in there’s nothing?

Are you talking about thanksforcomingin.com? That site is hosted by Bluehost. WordPress.com is in no way related to Bluehost. To solve this problem you must contact Bluehost support.

  • Hi there,

@staarmees is correct. Although your site is connected to WordPress.com via Jetpack, it is using the open-source WordPress.org software and you need to seek help at these forums:

    https://wordpress.org/support/forums

These forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only. Since we do not have access to self-hosted WordPress.org sites, we are unable to provide any direct assistance to your issue. I would also reach out to Bluehost for help.

If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org you can read this document:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    Thanks!
