Workaround for multiple portfolios in Sketch?

This might be an impossibility, but I’m trying to find a workaround for this.

Marianne has two separate pages on which to display her work. One is for jewelry and the other is for floor cloths. However, because I’ve got this set up for portfolio, and am delineating project type (jewelry or floor cloth), everything shows up on both pages when I click on the menu.

I thought I’d try assigning a parent to see if that would push project type to the corresponding page, but the corresponding page wasn’t available in the pulldown.

I’d appreciate any words of wisdom anyone is generous enough to impart on my mushy brain!

    Thanks in advance.

You may categorize the projects of a portfolio by assigning different project types (analogous to post categories) or project tags to the projects. With the aid of a custom menu you may then create multiple archive pages to display partitions of your portfolio, categorized by type or tag.

See the Add and Managing Portfolio Projects section of the Portfolios support page. Also see the forum support page Can I have multiple portfolio pages on my blog?, especially the fifth post by the WP staff member.

Thank you so much for breaking the radio silence.

I can’t tell you how many different searches I did before posting here, including multiple portfolios, project types, etc., and any variation you can think of. All in all, I searched for over three hours. I even searched “can I have multiple portfolio pages?” I never found either of those posts, or any other of relevance or help. Ack!

I had already assigned project types, which clearly wasn’t enough. I’ll try this workaround, and again, I really appreciate the response.

You’re welcome. Please note that with a custom menu you can create subtypes or subcategories by nesting items under other items, as described in the “Changing the Order & Creating Sub-Menus” section of the custom menus support page.
