  wordpress.com doesn’t support java.

  So get a skype button code on their homepage, which would look like this:

  <script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://download.skype.com/share/skypebuttons/js/skypeCheck.js”></script>
  <img src=”http://mystatus.skype.com/smallicon/yourskypename” style=”border: none;” width=”16″ height=”16″ alt=”My status” />

  extract from code: skype:youskypename?chat

  go here: http://tinyurl.com/

  insert copied text as it is in the Field: “Enter a long URL to make tiny”

  press: MakeTinyURL

  get your URL: http://tinyurl.com/xxxxxx

  insert it in your code in a text widget.

  You get:
  
  <img src=”http://mystatus.skype.com/smallicon/yourskypename” style=”border:none;” width=”16″ height=”16″ alt=”My status” />

  And you rule.
