Working on migrating to wordpress site without taking down my existing website

Hi there! I have a wordpress account through bluehost. I have a custom domain (bedtimebossing.com) that I’m hosting using bluehost’s file manager by using a custom created index.html and css files. However, I’m now looking to migrate my site over to WordPress. When I try to preview or test anything in wordpress, it brings me to my custom html/css site, which makes sense since they share the same domain. Is there a way for me to preview the changes I’m making through wordpress WITHOUT having to make my current website inactive?

    WP.com: Unknown
    Jetpack: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

I’m not showing any WordPress.com hosted sites under your account here. Did you set that up under a different user account? Or, are you working on converting your HTML based site to the WordPress software over at Bluehost?

We cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. But, I can get you pointed in the right direction.

You can only use your domain on a single site – either your HTML one or your WordPress one – so if you’re working on a new WordPress installation, you would need to have a temporary URL to work from until you’re ready to make the switch. Bluehost support should be able to help you with that.

    I hope that helps!
