Working on Site Before Transferring a domain name

  Hi wordpress,

  I wanted to try and draft a website before transferring the domain I own. I’m not ready to sign it over until I see what I can build. Am I able to do that?

  Also, can I integrate a widget from vagaro or Mindbody into a wordpress site?

  Hi there,

  That is not an issue – what you could do is create a site with a free WordPress.com blog address. You are assigned a .wordpress.com or a .home.blog subdomain whenever you create a site with WordPress.com, so you can just use that as the domain as you build the site and determine whether or not this is the platform you want to use. Once you are done developing the site, you can make the decision to transfer the domain over:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

  map and existing domain:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

  Or even creating a new one:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/register-domain/

  Also, can I integrate a widget from vagaro or Mindbody into a wordpress site?

  You should be able to as long as the code used is allowed on WordPress.com:
