working through powweb on a mac w/WordPress need help

I can’t get my blog management to do what I want it to do. I want to be able to create pages and have a sidebar (such as categories) that I can change. I believe the problem is in my presentation>theme editor> and then the coding. I hope not but think so. I think my theme isn’t customizable. On my main page (at the top) I have three tabs (Home, page 1, page 2) page one and two say “Not found… Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.” When I pulled up by theme editor I noticed in the coding it said these exact things so that is what it is being told to do. I want to have it where home is home, page 1 is my about us page and page 2 is called clients (where i can load videos and write ups of clients we are working with)… how hard is this going to be, really?
The other thing I would like to do is to have control over my sidebar so I can add other categories (more than just uncategorized). I have added them in the manage>category section but they do not show up on the page.So, main things I want to do:
1. Have the top tab menus show what I want them to show (home, about us page, clients page)
2. want to be able to post videos we have shot and edited of our clients (like we already do for our website using transmit)
3. Want to be able to have control over my sidebar (so all my categories will show up)If someone can please let me know how to do this, or how much work it will be, I’d really like to learn, I’d like to be able to update and do things myself. Please point me in the right direction. Thanks!!

I figured out that is was a theme that was not widget aware. I chose a different theme and now have the pages running the way I want, thank goodness. However, I’m trying to find the best video plugin (I read it was Jeroen’s Flash Video player with Roel Meurders plug in) I downloaded the flash player and got that ready to go but when I try to download RM’s plug in (an actual plug in) all I get is code… which of course I don’t understand. What am I missing here? I just want to be able to upload my videos (that are already flash) onto my blog so they play with a great quality. When I follow the instructions it tells me to change something in my options tab, I don’t have one, and I am the administrator… where do I find that? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks heaps!!

If you’re using WP.com, you can’t use plugins. If you’re not using WP.com (but self-hosted WP.org) you’re on the wrong forums. See the sticky thread at the top of the forum.
