working with a template from monster

    I purchased a template from Monstertemplates.

    I have been reading and reading, but can’t find out a few questions. I know that the admin will edit the main pages and add pages. But how do I edit the red part that says “news” and “headlines” and other parts of the page. Do I use note pad or dreamweaver to change the .php files or can all of it be done in the admin? Thanks
