Working with Images in twenty ten

  Hi,

  I am not seeming to find the right place for this in the documentation. I want an overview of good practice image handling for twenty ten.

  If I want an image as thumbnail which then opens full size if clicked is it best / necessary to upload both thumbnail and full size. Or if I only upload full size does the thumbnail get created anyway (otherwise this could make loading slow if the full size has to load just to show the thumbnail).

  Also, can I make the full size image open in a page with some sort of link back button so people who don’t know what they are doing can get back to my site.

  Generally I am interested in best practice for images using twenty ten. I know that there may be better themes for this purpose but for the moment I am hoping to stay with it, maybe shift to Twenty Sixteen when that becomes available.
