    I want fix World cup 2010 Countdown widget on my site. But i try & try different way i m fail so i need help how i can fix a world cup 2010 countdown widget in my site ?

    Please post the widget code here between backticks so the code can be examined and we can tell you why it’s not working. The backtick ` (not single quote) is found on the same key as the tilde ~ only in lower case. That key is to the immediate lfet of the number 1 key on your keyboard. The format for posting code on the forum is:

    backtick
    CODE
    backtick

    As the code is being stripped I assume it may contain one of these restricted codes and if that’s the case then you will not be able to use the widget. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

    BTW I went on the internet and all the codes I found for world cup countdown widgets are “dynamic” ie. they are javascript and cannot be used on wordpress.com blogs.

    Here’s an example of a javascript widget code that cannot be used as the code will be stripped out by wordpress.com software:

    @ timethief, Actually i m totally new so i haven’t any idea about this but i know how to Copy & Past something ;-)

    I m clear what about you say, that mean javascript (/Dynamics) not working in WordPress, isn’t ?

    Yes, javascript is not allowed here for security reasons. Many other major sites have been brought down by bad javascript and/or flash scripts that a user has installed. With this being a multi-user platform, we all share the same underlying theme and wordpress files, which means that if someone puts in some bad code, it could potentially bring down all the blogs here in an instant.
