Starting today, November 18, I cannot access my WordPress blog on Firefox, though I can on Chrome and Opera.

Hi there,
This sounds like it may be a cache issue. Since you have already tried logging in using a different browser with success, I would try clearing your browser’s cache and seeing if that helps.
Let us know, thanks!

Yes, I’ve cleared my cache, cleared my cookies, cleared my sinuses. Still get a blank Login page. Only on Firefox, Seamonkey and Safari. I’ve tried starting in Safe mode – same same.
I can get to the login page on Chrome and Opera.
What am Imissing?

Hi there, I’m using Firefox version 106.5 on Mac OS 12.6 at the moment and I cannot replicate this issue; the login screen also appears for me when I try in Safari (version 16). Could you share with us what Mac OS and browser versions you have?
In case of need this website can help you generate links to easily share the information:
https://www.whatsmybrowser.org/It does sound like this could be a browser and/or OS version compatibility issue!

I’m using an iMac OS OS 10.11.6, on Firefox 78.15.0esr (64-bit)
If this is an OS/Firefox version problem, why does it work using Chrome and Opera?
-
Oddly, it’s only the Login page that doesn’t work. I can start a new account, if I wanted to, but I can’t access the page to login to my existing account.
So, this is an incompatibility between WordPress and Firefox. I’ve noted other changes in my WordPress account, such as small font size in my draft posts.
What has WordPress done that suddenly locks out Firefox?
-
Try turning off Firefox’s enhanced tracking protection. That usually does the trick for me.
-
Thanks. Good idea.
No effect.
I’ve turned off enhanced tracking, I’ve started up in safe mode. I’ve cleared the cache and cookies. No effect. I still can’t see the login screen on Firefox.
This just started yesterday. Something has been changed on WordPress.com. Nothing else has changed on Firefox, Seamonkey or Safari. I can still access all other sites on Firefox, Seamonkey and Safari.
- The problem is in WordPress.

Hi there,

I am sure you’re having browser issues due to what OS you’re currently on. The Safari Browser is directly tied to what OS you’re using – seeing that the current OS version is 12.6, Firefox’s current version is 107, and there have been quite a few changes from the OS 10.11.6, updating the OS version would most likely resolve this issue. We’ve heard from several users with older Mac OS versions who have had browser issues with WordPress.com.
If this is an OS/Firefox version problem, why does it work using Chrome and Opera?
It’s most likely because, unlike Safari, updates to Chrome aren’t tied to the OS.
Are you able to update your OS?
