Worried by visit to my blog

I am new, have been here about a week and half. my blog is where i post my poems and sketches (all my own copyright) and some random musings. I have a posting about Spring Fever where i have added a quote by Mark Twain. In my search terms every day there are searches for “Spring Fever Mark Twain”. I have stat counter on my blog and when i checked earlier someone had searched for Spring Fever Mark Twain, but it has really freaked me out because the ISP for that person says, “FBI Criminal Justice Information Systems” and the browser says “Rippers”. My question is (if any can answer please) why would the FBI be coming to my page? I live in Wales and am just an ordinary person. I’m really scared by this, does anyone know if this is normal??

It is perfectly normal for the security forces of the US (and the UK for that matter) to look at blogs. I think they use a bot that seeks out particular words, but it doesn’t get reviewed by a human unless they get some keyword or code results they’re looking for. The “Rippers” part I’m not sure about; they could just have a bot that looks for people who steal and repost content, but obviously they haven’t got a filter that ensures they don’t look at things that are out of copyright, like Twain’s work.

OK thanks…i don’t steal and repost content by the way. All my sketches, poems, and musings are my own and are copyright to me. The Spring Fever posting contains just a 2 line quote from Mark Twain, and i have even named Mark Twain as the person who quoted it.I was thinking maybe it was someone browsing the internet when they should have been working, but i will contact staff as it is a very weird thing. They were only on my blog for 2 seconds, so maybe it was a bot? Thank you for the advice.

No, I’m not trying to imply that you’re a thief. Sorry if I wasn’t more clear. What I mean is a bot might mistake a quotation for stealing. And yes, with that short length of time it’s reasonable to conclude it was either a bot or some poor guy who was looking for terrorists or whatever, saw your quote, and said, “Oh, that’s not what I’m looking for.” Bud doubtless not without admitting that Mark Twain rocks, still.

@raincoaster..Thank you. I did just contact staff though, just in case it’s something weird and “not right”. Perhaps “Spring Fever” is code for something else as i do seem to get a lot of hits for that posting LOL…It freaked me out actually as i’ve never even had so much as a parking ticket, and i’ve never even left the country, so to have a visit from the FBI was a shock!! Yes, Mark Twain STILL rocks! Thanks again for the advice, it’s much appreciated.
