Would disabling comments hurt me on Google and Technorati?

  Are these what you call incoming links that help you on Google, Technorati, and with your page rank?

  I forgot to mention if these comments which are mostly pingbacks and if disabling those would hurt me?

  Disabling it won’t hurt you. It will hurt the places that linked to you, since they won’t get to draw any readers via their pingback. Disabling all comments, however, might hurt you in the general readership department. You can disable pingbacks and trackbacks under Settings -> Discussion ->Default article settings.

  Thanks. I’m still thinking about it. Got pissed when now completely different past pingbacks all now redirect to one brand new Trivia Mania spam site.
