Would like a forum, know a good one that’s free?

  Hi all,

  I run another blog/site on WP for a local sports club. I would like to get a forum up and running that our community could use.

  However, it needs to be hosted for me, I currently do not have my own hosting anywhere.

  Does anyone know of a good forum package that is easy to administer, low on adverts, and will be hosted for me?

  It’s free with adverts and they’re skinable to some extent as well.

  maybe with mdawaffe kicking out the bbpress tickets, we’ll have a hosted bbpress option on wp.com ;)

  ‘course, wp.com isn’t _truly_ sans ads anymore, but i’m not counting.

  MSN Groups are pretty decent and really runs
  like a forum as all the posts are in threads.You can modify it with your own graphics and ban people who prove to be bothersome.Just something to think about.

  British, you might want to just plug in ‘free forum host’ into your favorite search engine and see what you get. There are a number of them on the net.

  Don’t go with ezboard, if it’s still around. All their boards are going down soon, if they’re not already down. Three million users and all goes poof!
