  I would like to create a free website through Word Press. I have a Go Daddy registered domain (for 2-years) and don’t need a domain. I just want a free website without paying any Word Press plans.

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  I have a domain name. I purchased the domain through Go Daddy. The domain will expire October 2024.

  I am asking how I can create a Word Press website (without the wordpress.com extension) using my new domain name registered already with Go Daddy.

  I want to know if there a zero cost to do this? Is there a free option or do I need to pay for a personal plan or premium plan or one of the Word Press plans to rid the wordpress.com extension?

  You need one of the plans from the below link in order to connect your existing domain with WordPress.com:

  Let us try this again.

  I DO NOT have an existing website.

  I DO have a registered DOMAIN NAME with GO DADDY.

  I DO NOT WANT a DOMAIN NAME as I already have a DOMAIN NAME.

  I DO need a new website.

  How do I go about creating a NEW website with a GO DADDY registered domain name?

  @amiteshg93 correctly explained that if you want to host your website here on WordPress.com and connect your existing domain, you’ll have to upgrade to one of our paid plans. With our Free plan, you can only use a free .wordpress.com address.

  You can use the free WordPress.org software and host your site on a different provider. However, you’ll still have to pay for a hosting plan.
