Would like ability to see new header before making changes

The last couple of times I changed the picture in my header, as soon as I cropped the photo I got a window saying the new header is up. I’d like to have the option to view it before actually making the change because some photos that I upload don’t “work” well as a header, but I don’t know that til I try it. I thought it used to be that way — that you’d crop the photo and then see what it would look like, then click to save the changes. (There’s a “save changes” button on the first page, but you don’t get taken back there after cropping the photo.)

It would also be nice to be able to change the font color on the same page as you change the picture. Often with a change of picture, the font color needs to change, too (if you go to a light background, for instance, you need darker letters for the words to show up). As it is now you have to go to Dashboard->Presentation->Custom Image Header for the pictures, then go into Color Header to change the font. It would be nice to be able to do that at the same time and preview the whole thing before the change goes to the blog.

we are given the header measurements in the faq http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/07/08/which-themes-can-i-add-a-header-image-to/ so we can adjust our pictures offline and making sure it looks good in that size before uploading.

Be careful with your file size as well. If it’s too large, like megs in size, the cropper will kick it and make you reduce it.
