Would like 'Summary' of posts on home page, but doesn't work

  Hey there,

  Newbie here at http://www.mississaugapermaculture.wordpress.com

  When I select that I would like Summary, for my posts shown in feed it does not work on my home/front page. I am supposed to select something each time I write a post or turn another setting on or do some coding?

  The setting on the Settings > Reading page is only for the RSS Feed. it does not change the post display on the front page of the blog. To do that you must insert “the more tag” into your posts.

  Thank you timethief. I have found that little hidden button after searching the many vaults of WordPress. Impressive community on here, I’m just trying to wrap my head around it all.

  You might also want to consider many of the newer themes, that do this automatically.
