Would like to add box around each post

    I’m quite happy with what I have, but would like to add a box around each post, just to keep them separate. Interestingly, there seems to be almost no precooked styles that do this.
    I’m I barking up the wrong tree??

    I don’t know of any themes off the top of my head that box post content. I do know how to create that in posts or on pages manually on each of them but that’s not what you want.

    CSS is theme specific here at wordpress.com, there is no official Staff support for the CSS upgrade, and precious little Volunteer support. Please be patient and consult tutorials and acquire the tools required found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/#css-help while waiting for a Volunteer to help you.

    Yes, this is possible. When you say box, are you talking about just a border around the posts, or did you want a colored background, or a colored background with a border?

    Do note that this will end up narrowing the posts themselves since padding has to be added to keep the text from being right up against the border, so images inserted into the posts at full size will be smaller. Here is a quick sample:
