Would like to change free blog to another host

  I am in Domain helper and there is no edit button to go to the name servers.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Did you actually buy a domain name from WordPress.com? If not, there won’t be anything you can change. You have to move your website to a different host by exporting your content and importing it into your new web platform.

  Ok. Good to know. I had purchased the domain name, but through GoDaddy. In this case, can I do anything about moving the site?

  There’s definitely something you can do to move your content but you’ll be leaving your theme and any customization you did to your theme behind.

  How you transfer the content depends on where you’re going to have your new site hosted and what platform you use. WordPress.com has the option of a Guided Transfer if you want to transfer to a WordPress.org platform with your new host.

  If you’re moving to a different platform, your new host may offer some help or a transfer service. There are many different platforms: WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, even all-in-one solutions like Squarespace and Wix. But I hope you stick with WordPress! :)

  So, there is no way I can move the site itself unless I purchase the domain through wordpress, correct?

  You would change your name servers at GoDaddy, then. Use the export feature here if you want to bring your content to a new host.

  I like the site, just don’t want .wordpress.com in the web address.

  You’re still going to use wordpress.com as your host? Then you just want the Map an Existing Domain feature.

  Excellent. Sorry I didn’t explain my request very clearly. I thought I had to move to another host to change the web address. Thanks to all for your help! I will try it.
