  I had created wordpress in 2012 but unable to understand the platform until now. Can you please help me navigate and help me in creating a blog that functions as per my vision. Please consider this request

  Hello there.
  We don’t know what your vision is :(

  In any case, you can create pages for the major types of dishes – say “main course”, “soups”, “deserts”, “drinks” and so on.
  When you post a new recipe, you don’t create a post (which is considered a blog entry) but a new page. Make sure to select from the right side of the screen, its parent (under which major page it goes).

  the left side of the screen also has the option for you to change the appearance of the site, by applying a theme. most of these themes allow you to customize them a little -say use a different font, a different background color and image, a different header…
