Would like to get my domain name back if possible?
-
As a beginner, these details totally flew over my head.
I originally bought a personal account alongside the domain: loohcifer.com (on wordpress.com)
I upgraded my account to premium (?) On WordPress.com– this all occurred a day ago. However, I bought a hosting server with DreamHost and didn’t realize that by canceling/asking for a refund from WordPress on the premium would have me lose the domain of loohcifer.com ? Sorry, beginners mistake I feel like an idiot.
Is there any way for me to retrieve that domain so I could eventually transfer it to dream host?
Since this happened very recently (about a day ago) I would really appreciate any help to retrieve it.Sorry for the inconvenience, but I really would like to have the opportunity to retrieve it. Paying for it on WordPress and waiting the time period of I believe 60? Days before I can transfer it.
Thank you very much for any assistance.

Hi there!
Since you have received a refund for both the plan and domain, to be able to recover it, you’ll need to pay the registration fee again (18€).
After that is done and the domain is back on your account, you’ll be able to point it to your new site and transfer it away after 60 days. This is because there’s a lock on all new domains (that depends on ICANN and can be waived).
Another option is to wait – new, canceled domains become available after 5 days so you’d be able to register the domain directly with your new host.
Let us know how you’d like to proceed.

Hello! I think what I will do is wait the 5 days, then.
I’m very thankful for the help. Sorry for the inconvenience. I really appreciate the time you took to help me out. Thank you so much for the speedy replies and your assistance.
