Would like to install a plugin.
-
Hi,
I would like to install a plugin on my wordpress blog, but when I go to install it there is no option in my dashboard. From the installation instructions I read the plugins tab should show up below appearance in dashboard. Is there somewhere else I can locate the plugins on ml blog? Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

1) Plugin’s are not allowed on WordPress.COM blogs, security and reliability reasons
1b) Stop reading WordPress.ORG documents
2) what plugin can’t you live without – there are a lot of Widgets here and short codes so most of the time you can get the functions without needing a Plugin

I’ve never needed to install a plugin before. I’m trying to remedy an issue I’m having with a sharing feature. I have a google+ and a google+ business page. I’ve connected my blog to my google+ account, but it is posting eveything to my personal google+ page. I’ve been trying to figure out how to connect my business page and the only thing I’ve found is through a plugin.

So, since plugins are not allowed on WordPress.COm blogs, which part of WordPress.com (or WordPress.org) are they located? I am having the same issue Carlie is having. I have tried Youtube.com to search on this topic but other users’ tutorial screen shots DOES NOT look like the CURRENT version of WordPress.COM
So, since WordPress DOES provide plugins WHERE can users use them?
Cause I’m just sayin’

Does anyone know how I can connect my google+ business page to my blog? This is really all I’m looking to do. Also to answer others questions above can you use plugins in you purchase an upgrade?
Thanks! -
Hey @carliechew, it looks like it’s coming but not quite here yet:
Right now, you can only connect to a Google+ Profile. You can find out more about that on our Google Integration support page and in our blog post announcing this new feature: Your Blog, Plus One: Connect and Share on Google+
We should have the integration with Google+ Pages available in just a few weeks. Then you’ll be able to Publicize to your Google+ Page, too! :)

@win2014, did you review the link that auxclass provided?
http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
WordPress.com provides hosted blogs with special services, which comes with certain security restrictions (i.e. no outside themes, no outside plugins).
WordPress.org is for hosting your own site on your own (usually rented) server space, using WordPress software. When it’s your own site, you can do whatever you like with it. ;)
