Why is dotcom a part of my blod name? Would like the blog to be tlewis2013.wordpress.com

just register a new blog name and use the wrong name for practice

tlewis2013.wordpress.com is reserved for the account tlewis2013 – so you need to be logged in as that account to register that blog – is that your account?

When I was setting up the account, the name tlewis2013 was automatically assigned as the blog name. I do not specifically remember having tlewis2013 as a part of my account setup. My user name is defyadv1. I left the default blog name as tlewis2013. When the blog was activated is listed as tlewis2013docom.wordpress.com. After I recieved your first reply, I tried to log in as tlewis2013 and was unable to do so. Not sure what is going on.

The tlewis2013 account is 4 months old – if that is your account you need to log out of your current account and log into tlewis2013 to register the blog name you want
did you register the account 4 months ago? or was the account registered by another person?

Must be another tlewis2013. I did not set an account up 4 months ago. This is the first time that I have been on this site. Thanks for your help.
