Would my blog be suspended for posting offensive words?
-
I had this experience. A very bad experience from a big company- Nike.
I know I just want to speak it out through this venue (blog).I’ve posted words like “fuck,” words of hatred in relation to what happened in the releasing of tickets yesterday for LeBron James’ visiting schedule in the Philippines.
I’m a little bit paranoid. I don’t really use offensive words this much. So I just want to be assured guys, before somebody report this up, if my blog would be suspended by doing this?
However, I’ve read that:
“….We think the right response to bad or offensive ideas is to speak out against them, not to censor them. Instead of asking us to suspend such a blog, please consider either responding in the blog’s comments or on a blog of your own, to set the record straight.Example: we don’t suspend blogs for: describing a negative experience with a business, stating an opinion you disagree with, or using offensive language.”
Oh please get back to me on this.
Thanks much in advance! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

As stated in the Terms & Conditions, WordPress.com will not delete your blog for using offensive language.
However, the owner of a blog may delete comments you post on their site for whatever reasons they wish, including offensive language.
That being said, I, personally, feel that arguments are better made when they include intelligent discussion of the topic, rather than relying on curse words.

Except in the case of Raincoaster :)
However calling some people words to the effect of nitwits and idiots not capable of testing software and making stupid changes got me suspended one time, can’t remember is I had a swear word in the process or not

Thanks guys.
I am holding to the statement that says:
“We don’t suspend blogs for: describing a negative experience with a business, stating an opinion you disagree with, or using offensive language.”This is the first negative post that I made. I’m not really a negative person. But what happened really made me angry. However, I device of a way to warned people first before reading that particular post. I forewarned them, saying it contain words that not applicable to conservative readers.. something like that. But it’s in our language- Filipino language.
So I guess that would be a little okay…

If you are going to say something that might be offensive to people, you are being very courteous by informing your readers of that before they get offended.
That being said, as long as you are not breaking the law, or the terms and conditions of WordPress.com, you are free to say whatever you want, offensive or otherwise. Just remember, with great power comes great responsibility.

Yes, it’s a great responsibility. And it’s a big company to fight with. :-)
However, they’re at fault here. So I think the post is reasonable.Big thanks Andrewcpht.
I appreciate it. -

What about intelligent discussion that ‘includes’ curse words?
