Wow…..this is not an improvement!

I haven’t been using WP for quite a while.

Today, I thought I would update my poetry blog and do a new post. What a LONG process to do something that used to take me minutes. SO hard to find ways to change things on this blog that WERE very easy to adjust previously but are not now. I still didn’t get it all updated as I wanted to. The links are all different colors, can’t find where to change each type so they are all uniform: sidebar, post titles….
The title link: My Poetic Path, also couldn’t find how to change color for this.

This is not an improvement, just annoying. You have so many add ons that are front and center now, but the basics like what I’m asking, impossible to find or at least to find without wasting a LOT of time.

If you can help with these questions, maybe I can muddle through in the future:
-How do you change to text color for ALL the posts on a blog now?
-How to make changes to the color of the info at the top of the blog, including the blog title, subtitle…?
-How to change all link colors?

Thanks and so sorry that I even have to write about this. I DID TRY but I just can’t waste any more time trying to figure this out.

    Correct account: Yes

  • Hi there,

-How do you change to text color for ALL the posts on a blog now?
-How to make changes to the color of the info at the top of the blog, including the blog title, subtitle…?
-How to change all link colors?

This depends on your theme, so if you haven’t changed themes, this process shouldn’t have changed either.

In the case of the Yoko theme you’re using, the custom color settings live in the Customizer at Appearance ->Customize ->Colors and backgrounds, where you have limited control over the colour palette for your site. A couple years ago we made some changes here to make more options available on free sites, that previously were limited to paid plans only, but otherwise we haven’t changed how this works :)

More specific control over custom colours require custom CSS code (available in our Pro plan), or if you switch to one of our new block themes you can customize your site’s colour scheme (among other things) in the Site Editor.

The Customizer/Site Editor are for site-wide changes.

Then you can also customize colours per-post from within the block editor – most blocks you use to add content allows you to set a custom text and background colour for that specific block, and you can also change individual words in a post to its own colour, for example to make links a different colour:
