Wowzio & other Cool-looking widgets

I just seen these wowzio widegets(http://www.wowzio.com/) on another site and I thought it was a great way to get the readers to be more involved my site and reading more posts. Plus, they are very appealing to the eye. But (of course), WordPress does not support these widgets…WP is not very Entertainment-themed blog-orientated is it? Are there any other similar blogs I could add to my page that WP does allow??

The reason a lot of these widgets are not allowed is because they contain flash or javascript, both of which are not allowed here due to security concerns. Facebook and some others have been brought down by user inserted flash and javascript, and wordpress is very security conscious.

Thanks SacredPath, I have heard of this explanation before.
However, I a wondering if WP offers any non-flash/javascript alternatives to having nice widgets…I guess that isn’t possible. I can understand where they are coming from, I just want my Blog to be a bit more appealing…

Since WordPress.com does not create the widgets, it doesn’t alter them either. You could look around those sites for non-javascript versions; many companies offer them.
