WP Account Username Signup

  I am trying to create a separate WP account for 1 on my blogs. The blog in question is currently under another account.

  When I try to create a new account, it says the username is unavailable. So I think, maybe I have this username already. So when I do a “forgot password”, for the username in question, it tells me no account can be found.

  Any thoughts?

  Do usernames happen to get created and stored based on the subdomain name? If it is sample.wordpress.com, would the “sample” username be reserved for any reason?

  I am looking to use learnlyme as the user. Again, when I try to create it, it says it is not available, but if i try to reset the password, it says to doesn’t exist.

  so from within my blog i was able to change to my desired username. so that means when you create a blog, WP automatically creates a username based on your WP sub address
