WP admin as default / option in general settings?

    I really don´t like the new admin interface. I feel it is not practical. Although there is the WP admin link to the old interface, clicking in some of the options takes us back to the new one, forcing to use it. Is it too much to ask to have an option on the general settings to stick with one default admin interface? Since there are some of us that REALLY find it not so easy to use as the previous one, now located under the WP admin link. Maybe you can do an opinion poll to see if it is worth it or not. Maybe, the older users, we´ll find out that we have to suck it up.
    For me it is really getting in the way of a good user experience..
    I don´t know if other old users find it as well not so nice to use the new interface. It is just a guess from my part. And this comment, it is just a suggestion to improve that user experience: to have a setting to use the the Wp Admin as default so the new interface don´t get on the way.
    Please consider it, I love wordpress, have been an user for several years, but lately is a bit disappointing all this desire of “easiness” “friendliness” that at the end complicates things. Maybe it is just me. But anyway, I felt the need to express it here.

    When I log in, I immediately go down to and click onto the WP Admin link, the “old interface” as you put it, which takes us to the old dashboard. I do this not because the newer interface is not easy to use, but because of the blog theme I used to have, which was a Portfolio-style (paid for) theme and had extra features to make it look more like a website than the standard blog-style theme.

    I agree that some aspects of the newer style interface are not as clean as the old one. And, as with all changes, I’m sure some of them will be improved in the future.

    I think the fact that we have a WP Admin link, at all, is a way that WordPress have acceded to the issue of ease of use for many of us longer term users.
