wp-admin page error
-
When I try to login to the admin page for my website/blog (www.jenniferbussell.com/wp-admin) I get the following message:
Not Found
Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.I have not logged in for a few months, but I’m not sure why that would cause this problem. Please advise and thanks in advance!!

Your blog is actually a wordpress.ORG one, and this is the wordpress.COM support forum. For assistance you should head over to the wordpress.ORG support forum, which you can find here: http://wordpress.org/support you may have to register an account to post, if you don’t already have one.

Thanks for your reply. I’m not sure this is right, though – I login on wordpress.com and see my site, which is hosted by godaddy, not WordPress. I’ve never downloaded any software, I just typically use the dashboard to manage the site and if I go to wordpress.org, it doesn’t recognize my login. Any other thoughts? Thanks again!

If it is hosted by godaddy, then it is most certainly not a wordpress.COM blog, as they are all hosted by wordpress.com. You can also see that if you go to http://www.jenniferbussell.com then there is not a black admin bar at the top, which means it is not a wordpress.COM blog. In addition, the link down the bottom, goes to wordpress.ORG.
GoDaddy probably downloaded and installed everything for you, so all you have to do is go to the dashboard. As for going to wordpress.org it probably won’t recognise your login, as that login is for your site only (and clearly you also have a wordpress.com account). You’ll need to make a new one for the wordpress.org site.

The Dashboard & Log-in for WordPress.COM & WordPress.ORG installed sites are almost the same – if you don’t know exactly what the differences are you can miss them – it is a common error
