WP, Blogger, and TypePad

I just want to leave a note saying how amazed I am with wordpress.com. I used to try to blog in other blog sites, but usually got frustrated after a while with stuff. Here I actually enjoy myself almost too much:)
As someone who started blogging with only the ability to write, but not able to even understand what the word widget means, I learned fast here what all I can do. Even my most obvious newbie questions get answered immediately and en detail, either through the faq’s or the wonderful people in the forum. And I don’t even have to be afraid that my data is connected and saved to my web searches, e.g in google:) At least not through WP, who reads my posts will know that I don’t trust that in FISA and PATRIOT general.
Lastly, a lot of friendly people here, pretty posts, and smart thoughts.
Thanks a bunch:)

glad to hear you’re enjoying wp.com. :) happy people can give special mention to volunteers who helped them, if they like (not obligatory): https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/forum-volunteer-of-the-day?replies=75

You should try using Drupal for a blog. Or you could just pick up a stick and bash yourself in the face with it repeatedly; it would be easier.
WordPress is pretty darn amazing.

I started out with wordpress and they were fantastic—then my house got broken in to and I had to shut my blog down quickly without saving anything. The sheriff thought my blog had led people to my home. I’m pretty open about stuff. When the burglers turned out to be bored teenagers…I went back to blogging.
I thought I’d try something else for awhile and to get my name back. It’s my trademark and who I am known for with my flower customers. So I started over and over and over and over! The last fiasco was a godaddy blog..now they are a good domain host–but not blogger host. So I ran back to wordpress and it is such quality. I love this place and I was able to get my name back.

Today I was supposed to teach some people blogging on a Drupal site. GAH! Luckily, the site was completely down, so I just registered them at WordPress.com and they’re happily blogging away there. We may never get them back on the Drupal site, frankly. The Create Post page in Drupal is literally six times as long as the WordPress posting page.
