WP changed format of my pictures? – Why??
-

Thank you so much, Macmanx! :) It looks so much better! But what do I do from now on? The pictures that I am previewing for the blog that will be activated tomorrow still looks huge. Am I doing something wrong when I am working with sizing the pictures?

@musiccredo
You asked me to give you entrance to my private website. I cannot do that cause it is only for members of our association of owners.Regards,
Ruud

@ruudvanmens Well concerning your reaction on the WP board I thought you wanted to share problems concerning themes and picture problems. Well it is fine for me.
I am gladd that staff-blorbo is there to help us out!
Still I wonder where the problems come from.. just curious.
Luckily it is solved very fast, much compliments for that. -
lauritzblog, the fixer does not correct drafts, so those will need to be corrected after publishing. All other future (currently unwritten) posts will be just fine.
musiccredo, the problem was detailed back on page 1: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wp-changed-format-of-my-pictures-why?replies=325#post-757019
Please let us know if you have any more questions!

Everything looks good, but there is a page with pictures that are not good. The maximum width of the images in the theme is Digg 3 471 pixels. If I set the pictures to 471 pixels are too small. When I enlarged the pictures to 682 pixels, then there is a large space under the pictures. Does this have to do with the problem discussed here?
Because this is a private website I publish here the HTML of this page.<img class = “align center wp-image-2421” title = “Monthly 11/31/2011” src = “http://vvezalmhaven1.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/permaand311120112.jpg” alt = “” width = “682” height = “353” />
<img class = “align center wp-image-2422” title = “Weekly 11/31/2011” src = “http://vvezalmhaven1.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/perweek311120112.jpg” alt = “” width = “682” height = “353” />
On this page you can see how much you use the site.
The charts are current as of November 2011.I hope you can help.
Sincerely,
Ruud Van Mens

The script fixed my previous posts when it was run, but new posts I add now still have the same problem.
It’s ridiculous to have to request a special script to be run on my blog by WordPress staff every time I add a new post.
Is there any news yet from WP about why the issue still hasn’t been resolved or why the changes that caused these problems haven’t been rolled back?
Surely with so many people suffering the problem whatever tweaks were made to the code to cause the image issues could be removed and then tested fully before being made live again?
-
…or perhaps a moderator could advise us of a way to run this script on our own blogs in future, so we don’t have to keep posting here with requests to have our blogs fixed?
-
Hu guys,
everything is ok on my first blog (http://krapooarboricole.wordpress.com/)
but there is still some probblems on the 2nd :
http://sosforets.wordpress.com/could you fix it ?
Thanks in advance for your help !
Have a nice day.
(sorry for my broken english – writing to you from France)

Hi again… The pictures are still BIG in my new posts. Hope You can fix it soon :)
-
Pictures are also too big in all of my new posts. Still. On all four blogs. lauritzblog.com, se.lauritzblog.com, de.lauritzblog.com and intl.lauritzblog.com. Please help me.
-
Is this where we request to remove all of the class=”size-full” entries in our posts?
I’d like some too!
-
@birgittahoglundsmat and whomever… you have to upload photos in a size that fits your theme. Resize them in Photo Editor or PhotoShop or PhotoWhatever, and only then upload them to your blog.
To find out how large a photo can be on your theme before things break, go here:
-
@ feartheseeds. Thank’s I’ll try that with 470 pixels for my theme Quentin.
But ever since I started using WordPress in june 2009, all the posts have been OK with picture resized to 800 pixels.
It was just a couple of weeks ago, they appeared like this.. So, something has changed from WordPress now, without letting us users know.. -
Tried the tip from feartheseeds, but it didn’t work out for my next post…
This starts to make me a bit tired of blogging, hope You can fix the problem soon. -
@birgittahoglundsmat and others
Only Staff can “fix” this and if you read the thread you will see that’s exactly what they have been doing when members post here. Please be patient while waiting for Staff help. I have flagged this thread for their attention. -
ruudvanmens, as this is a separate issue, please start a new thread or contact us directly: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
moonmilkblog, you haven’t requested a fix yet in this thread. I can’t do anything without knowing which blog is affected.
lauritzblog, the fixer didn’t find anything wrong, so you must have a separate issue. Please start a new thread or contact us directly: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
All reported blogs up to this point have been corrected.

Hi Macmanx,
I posted back on December 1st (page 2 of this thread) with my blog
http://japangasm.wordpress.comThe same blog has the problem again now.
Thanks in advance for another quick fix…
-
Ah, I remember this one. Not sure why I missed it when looking through.
I have run the fixer on it again, and it corrected 2 instances in your published posts.
