I’m so sorry that I can’t deliver “good news”…
it looks even worse now on my blog:
over-sized pictures, “cinemascope-like” pictures (much too much width) and too small pictures as well…
(including many wrong-sized videos)…
More than thankful, if you could have a look at it again.
Hoping for a miracle :-)Thank you very, very much, macmanx

I don’t see anything terribly out of place, just images indicative of the size you assigned to them when inserting them into the post.
For example, edit your first post http://angelanilsson.wordpress.com/2011/11/24/islamic-new-year-2/ and click on the image. Then, click on the edit image icon (not the delete icon) and go to the Advanced Settings tab.
You have entered 330 x 120 for the image when the image is actually 610 x 406. This what’s resulting in the size distortion.
The size of the video embeds comes direct from YouTube. We have no control over this unless you use the shortcode method and inset a custom width, which you have.
In the same post, you have assigned the video as 500 x 305, which is correctly displayed on your blog.

Hi – I’ve got the same issue with some images on my blog appearing much larger than intended.
my blog: http://cinemachaat.wordpress.com/
an example post: http://cinemachaat.wordpress.com/2011/04/30/nenu-naa-rakshasi/Like other posters, if I go into edit mode, the inages appear to be the size I want.
Please see what you can do?
Cheers

Hi, looks like I am having the issue reported in this thread. none of the images load on my blog and if they do, they are out of proportion. Even images which are set to show up as their original size, are not displaying. I have tried multiple themes, including the wordpress 2011 theme and multiple browsers (Opera, Firefox and Chrome) and images just do not load, though the image text does appear on hovering the cursor.
if I go into edit a page, the image is there. Please help. Thank you in advance :)
My blog is vijayasimhabr.wordpress.com

Thank you. The pictures are all back in place. Though, it does look like going forward I am better off resizing the pictures on my computer before uploading it to wp. Thanks again!

@vijayasimhabr
The best way to proceed is exactly as the Volunteers on this forum have stated for over 5 years now. Prior to uploading any image into your WordPress.com blog optimize the image and presize it so it fits into the maximum displayed image width for posts and pages for your theme. Sidebar widths are here.If you are creating a header or featured image then make sure you optimize it and presize it to the correct dimensions for your theme before uploading it. By doing this you will not be wasting your image space, and image quality will not be reduced, distorted or stretched as it will be if you use the cropper.

Looks I had to learn my lesson the hard way :D Will conform to the optimization guidelines from now on. Thanks for the suggestion :)
