  I have the same problem. I sent support an email 5 hours ago and haven’t heard back yet. All three of my blogs are affected:

  imaginaryfears, the fix only works on published posts. If you’d like to publish the page, I can run it again, otherwise I recommend just removing and re-adding the images.

  Everyone else up to this point has been fixed.

  Some of my posts and pages are also having this problem :(

  I’ve emailed a question about the same problem with the format of my photo changing, then found this thread so if anyone can help fix the problem, much appreciated. Here’s my original question:
  Hi WordPress
  A couple of days ago I noticed the appearance of my blog has changed in that photos I had uploaded and shrunk down now appear as full size, disrupting the layout of the text etc. When I go to edit mode, the layout of the affected posts look just fine, and I’ve done nothing to change anything, so I’m not sure what the problem is. There was a similar problem a while back and I was advised it was a glitch at your end which righted itself after a few hours – but it’s been a couple of days now and I wanted to know if others were getting this problem? The blog of mine most affected is http://hauntedhearts.wordpress.com/ – strangely a few of the posts (including the most recent) are ok but with most of them the size of the smaller thumbnails have changed to full size. Will I have to edit and resize them all again manually? (That’s going back nearly 3 years!) How can I safeguard against this in the future?

  Please help me too! All three of my blogs have photos which have been afflicted – they’ve suddenly become oversized. This has happened in the past but was rectified very quickly. I have sent several emails but nothing has been fixed yet. Please help! I spend more time trying to get the look of each post rightthan writing, so it’s infuriating to see all that work undone.

  Same problem here. It’s frustrating, because in addition to a neurotic level of editing and revising, I spend a ridiculous amount of time making sure my posts look visually balanced. Now the images all appear to have inflated to a gigantic size, which also affects the text. Please help.

  Never mind, macmanx. I’ve decided to reload them. I would just like to know if these changes to editing images will be permanent or if a solution is being/planned to be worked on to fix it for good? I can only upload pictures to be either small, medium or full sized and cannot edit image sizes as I could before using the edit icon, neither in posts nor in my pages. Is this a change by wordpress regarding image editing I missed the announcement of?

  I have the same problem. All images are too large without my doing. I’ve tried to solve that problem (aricle Spike) but wasn’t successful.

  This was to fix a long-standing bug, but unfortunately only a very small percentage of our 25 million blogs were negatively effected by the fix.

  Everyone reporting up to this point has been fixed.

  All images not rendering to correct dimensions in Firefox 8, I.E, or Chrome, Maxthon , etc. All images that were edit to a smaller size, and put into a post:
  are rendering there original size,
  this also distorts the rest of the texts.

  Hope its an Easy fix by the Happiness Engineers!
