WP changes to toolbar in Twenty Ten

  • Unknown's avatar

I run my site as a website, not blog, on Twenty Ten. From yesterday to today, the icon for justify margins has disappeared from my toolbar, and I am unable to justify text I put in. And yes, I have both lines of my editing icons open.
Is this something WP has just decided to do without notification? Is it just for this theme?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This issue is not theme related. It is due to changes made to wp-admin. In future if you need to justify text you either need to use the My Site/Calypso dashboard (where the justify and underline buttons are still available), or if you prefer to work in the wp-admin dashboard then use the keyboard shortcut Shift+Alt+j. The main thread about this issue is here:-

    Hi there,

Are you still having trouble with this?

I’ve checked the justify option when adding content to pages on Twenty Ten, and it looks like is still there, on the second row of the toolbar, fourth from the left.

Thanks – I just saw and read the ‘Two buttons missed’ thread magic robot links to above, and see it’s system wide due to an update. “only 20% of the users….” – when one is part of the 20% creates a new perspective!
I will continue to use the WP-Admin dashboard and add the short cut to my repertoire, along with a growing use of the Text editor tab;-)

To Tania – the next time you log on…pfft! it may be gone!
