WP.com and WP.org plugins comparison

  Hi there,

  I’m guessing – what is the difference in plugins created for WPcom vs. WPorg?
  From the point of view of the software development.

  Any useful links are appreciated.

  And if it’s almost the same – please inform :)

  Well, the ones made for wordpress.com are verified and automatically updated, the ones for wordpress.org are not necessarily, which is problematic since unsecured plugins are a wide open gate for hackers.
  But there are many user-verified wordpress.org plugins, you just have to be careful, and to keep them updated.
