    Hi,

I’m trying to install the cookie-law-info plugin, but I’m completely lost because I don’t know where to find the /wp-content/plugins/directory in my Mac. If it’s in my Mac. Sorry, I have no idea.

    Could you please enlighten me?

    Thank you

WordPress.com has a lot of built-in features that were inspired by popular plugins. Chances are, the feature you are looking for is already there! You can search our support site via this link:

    Home

Alternatively, if you tell me a little more about your goals, I can try to help you find the closest solution.

For any features on WordPress.com, the support page will explain how to set it up.

WordPress.com does not offer the option to install third-party plugins. If you would like more control over plugins and the option to install your own, a WordPress.org setup would be the best solution for you.

    Hi ,

Thank you for your reply. I’ll try to be clearer.

I’ve downloaded the cookie-law-info folder from wp support page.

The instructions to install the plug-in say:
    == Installation ==

This section describes how to install the plugin and get it working.

    1. Upload the cookie-law-info folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory

The question is ” where should I look for /wp-content/plugins/` directory?”

    Thanks

Please review the following page for a clear explanation of the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org:

If you need to utilize this plugin and want to move from WordPress.com to a self-hosted, WordPress.org site, let me know and I will forward the appropriate materials.

    Hi!

Sorry, I’ll try to be clearer. I’d like to add a pop up message about cookie policy as I did on my other blog http://misslucysteachingfun.blogspot.com

The wp support led me to that plug-in folder, but you could probably suggest something easier.

    Thank you,

    Lucy

In regard to a pop up, check this out:

Have you reviewed the page I previously linked to?

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

In regard to a message for your users, you could add a text widget to your sidebar or create a sticky post to showcase your statement:

    Thanks,

I’ve just added a TEXT Widget: it is enough, or not, I suppose it is something I’ll discover soon.

Actually, I was wondering why wordpress doesn’t automatically add a cookies policy message to all its pages. It would be easier for everyone and a really appreciated gift ;)

    Thank you
