wp-content not found
-
Hello,
I am trying to get plugins installed on my blog but it doesn’t work. I have been searching in the forums, and find a lot of information, but understand unfortunatley very few of the advice given.
If I go to my plug-in page when managing all my pages, then nothing is there except a search field, and nothing gets found if searched.
If I go to my plugin page for the page I want a plugin for, and all that is said there to me is if I want to buy premium. This is weird, since I obviously get there for plugins and not for premium. No other options are given there.
Another way of installing plugins is to do it through going to your WP-content/plugin folder. The problem is that I can’t find it, or it doesnt exist. wp-content is not found where its described by everybody. I used to find it, but now its not there. So I wish to get help to find my wp-content, and/or get rid of the wordpress-upgrade-premium spam in my plugin page, and be able to actually do something there.

If you want plugin’s you need to move off WordPress.COM to your own host and use the WordPress.ORG software – no plan here short of the VIP plan that starts at about $20,000/yr will let you use plugin’s
For more on the difference: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
What plugin do you need- many are built in – called widgets or short code
No upgrade on WordPressdotcom will give you the ability to add 3rd party plugins. More on that here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/
