WP Dashboard issues this morning

The bottom of the front page of both my WordPress.com blogs are wonky this morning and I’m wondering if there’s been an issue overnight with WP?
Here are the screenshots for both front pages. On Global Art Junkie, the widgets in the front page footers have also stopped showing, despite the fact that the widgets are properly placed and set in the dashboard.

I’m only guessing, but I’m thinking perhaps there is indeed a WP issue this morning. I’m seeing a lot of “can’t get into blog,” “can’t upload images,” dashboard sections overlapping, bad gateway message for stats, etc. on the support section. I have an issue as well. Anybody from WP support on this forum – if so, can you brief us? Thank you.

I thought this had resolved but this morning, the same issue re-appeared at the bottom of the front page of both sites (see screen shots in original topic). And the inability to show widgets is still a problem. So I still need help. Thank you.

The issues you list are all, generally unrelated. People frequently lose login info for their sites, some people are reporting upload issues right now in the iOS app, old versions of safari are causing issues with the admin bar at the top of sites, and so on.
I cannot replicate the issue that you are seeing. What browser and version are you using? Is it the most recent version? Does it happen if you view with a different browser?

OK, understood about the unrelated issues.
So when you go to these two sites, you’re saying you don’t see the garble at the bottom of the front pages?
It happens on uptodate versions of Firefox and Chrome, here in my household, it also happens on my iphone, safari. I have cleared the cache of all of them and it still appears. Plus, I can’t get the widgets to show.
I did install a new theme the other day (Puzzle) and it worked fine. Then the disruptions happened on both my sites. Could the installation of the theme have had anything to do with it?
I did remove all the widgets and start over, but they still won’t show when I direct them to be visible on Global Art Junkie front page only.
Should I try re-installing the theme?

No, I am not seeing that on Chrome, Safari, or Firefox. Nor am I able to see it on iOS safari.
Just to double check, these are the two URLs you are looking at when you see this:

It is odd because the little extra weirdness you see there looking like some sort of garbled “leave a comment” section. But there are no comment options for the “post” page itself. Just for individual posts.

Yes, those are the two URLs. This is a mystery, plus the inability of the theme (Puzzle) to generate the widgets on the front page of http://theartjunkie.com, even though the widgets are properly placed in the customizer, and also when I check widgets in WP Admin. And even though a day ago, everything was working properly, including widgets.
(A text widget that I placed in the footer of the Apocalypse Art category page – called Why Apocalypse Art – does in fact show up on that category page footer, as it’s supposed to, using visibility)

OK this time when i cleared my cache, the garble disappeared. Also, it’s no longer showing the weirdness is no longer showing on safari iphone.
So I guess it absolutely has to be something on our home network/computers? But why can’t I get the widgets to work on Puzzle?

Yes, I am embarrassed to tell you that the reason the widgets weren’t showing (after showing up previously in correct fashion) is that the page setting had switched to “static page” from the correct “your latest posts.” Lesson learned for me. Sometimes the most obvious answer is the right one. Meanwhile, we seem to have had no further issues with the garble, and thank you very much for being so attentive. Really appreciate it.
